Future We Want MUN: Global Initiative for Young Leaders
Inspired by the 2012 Rio+20 Resolution, “The Future We Want”, Future We Want Global Initiative for Young Leaders is today among the largest initiatives in the world to empower youth. FWWMUN is committed to promoting a united international community, a better future, and a more sustainable world through the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). FWWMUN has identified 10 goals from the 17 SDGs as key focus areas related to youth and education to guide the work of the organization.
UN high level officials have highlighted the important role Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Youth NGOs play in advocating for the SDGs in their countries. FWWMUN will work closely with organizations committed to bringing about the Future We Want to help all of us address this challenge together.
Our core values are inclusivity and diversity. FWWMUN is the sole MUN in the world which is fully inclusive, enabling equal participation and opportunities for people from all countries.
Thanks to its quality-driven initiatives and programs held all over the world, during the years 2018-2022 the FWW was able to engage more than 26,000 of youths and experts to generate and implement programs that were able to impact more than 2.1 million people in the different continents.
Today, the FWW is the World's Largest Model United Nations initiative with training programs designed to empower youth and getting them into real United Nations Diplomacy. Thanks to the MUN Academy, youths can upskill their personal development and contribute to creating positive change within their communities.
FWW is a program organized and sponsored by the Italian Diplomatic Academy, an NGO associated with United Nations DGC, and managed by the World Council for Youth and Diplomacy, a New York-based global educational NGO.
