Background
Inspired by the 2012 Rio+20 Resolution, “The Future We Want”, the FWWMUN is committed to promoting a united international community, a better future, and a more sustainable world through the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). FWWMUN has identified 10 goals from the 17 SDGs as key focus areas related to youth and education to guide the work of the organization. UN high level officials have highlighted the important role Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and Youth NGOs play in advocating for the SDGs in their countries. FWWMUN will work closely with organizations committed to bringing about the Future We Want to help all of us address this challenge together.

Our Approach
A cornerstone of the FWWMUN experience is our unwavering dedication to substantive excellence. As a premier global educational initiative, FWWMUN is devoted to empowering youth through dynamic Model United Nations programs and immersive workshops. We proudly bring together aspiring leaders from every corner of the globe, providing them with unparalleled opportunities to engage in international diplomacy, refine their negotiation skills, and draft impactful resolutions that pave the way for a brighter future.
By fostering a deep understanding of global challenges and cultivating innovative solutions, FWWMUN inspires participants to actively contribute to shaping The Future We Want. Our commitment extends beyond education; it is rooted in a vision of service to the international community and the creation of a more inclusive, equitable, and sustainable world. With FWWMUN, tomorrow's leaders are equipped to lead today.

Methodology
Under the visionary leadership of a dedicated Secretariat composed of seasoned senior officers and inspired young talents, FWWMUN proudly integrates its social mission with a global network of partnerships involving NGOs and academic institutions. This synergy enables us to offer transformative programs that empower students worldwide to excel in leadership, international relations, and the art of consensus-building.
FWWMUN’s immersive experiences bring together a diverse community of students, fostering connections that transcend borders and cultures. Participants gain not only profound academic insights into United Nations' key issues but also essential life skills such as emotional intelligence, social adaptability, and teamwork.
Through this enriching journey, students enhance their critical thinking, deepen their cross-cultural understanding, and build self-confidence—equipping them to return to their communities as empowered Agents of Change, ready to address global challenges and contribute meaningfully to a more collaborative and inclusive world.

Testimonials on Youth
Empowerment and Engagement

H.E. Ban Ki-moon
Former UN Secretary General
“On behalf of the entire United Nations system, I congratulate you for taking part in one of the most practical, hands-on experiences in international diplomacy for young people. You will get a full taste of the complexity of international relations.”
Model United Nations, China 2010

H.E. Jayathma Wickramanayake
Secretary-General’s Envoy on Youth
“With the 2030 Agenda, all Member States have committed to substantially increase the number of youth who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship. They recognized that without skilled and employable young people, our chances of achieving the Goals are greatly diminished. It is time to take that commitment seriously.”
